Every year, we have two different contests to decide which posters will represent our Easter. Each one symbolizes a sector of our most important tradition of the year. One of them shows the non-religious part which is our drum-playing and the other is about the spiritual one. The first poster is announced by the "Peñas de Tamborileros" association and all adults can participate in it. It consists of taking a photograph (as original as possible) about the drums in Hellín. We have two categories: Black and white and Colour. The jury decides who wins. The other poster is announced by the "Asociación de Cofradías y Hermandades" and it has to be about one of our religious sculpture. This year, it's the turn of "Virgen de la Amargura". There aren't any different categories, you can use your own style. The jury makes the decision and we will know the winners of both contests in a public act next Ash Wednesday. 2012 conditions
I think this is wrong. There is only one contest, the oficial easter poster, and it is organized by "Asociación de Cofradias y Hermandades de Semana Santa" and yes, the Jury decides who wins...
The other poster, the drum-playing poster, is not chosen with a contest. The "Peñas de Tamborileros" choose an artist who paints the poster. David Muñoz
Hello David, I'm sorry but you're wrong. I don't know how it was in the past, but this year there is one specific contest to choose the drum-playing poster and it's chosen by a jury. M.P., B.M., A.P.
